to to increase the enjoyment of owning and operating Mazda vehicles through the sharing of information, knowledge and experience of our members while also hosting numerous local, regional and national events.

The Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington, Inc. (MSCW) is an organization of Mazda automobile owners. MSCW's official publication is the Rotors and Roadsters newsletter, MSCW also sponsors a webpage, two list serves, a forum, numerous social, technical and driver education events, usually four to six events each month. Meets all legal and insurance requirements and has many ties with the automotive industry. Specific MSCW activities in the Washington Area include: monthly meetings, scenic drives, technical seminars, clinics, car shows, picnics, parties and autocross events. The Officers and Coordinators are all volunteers.

Originally formed in July of 1980 by John Yates and Dave Nugent as the "RX-7 Sportscar Club of Metro Washington". By the early 1980's our membership had expanded into the hundreds and we were soon hosting the east coast Rx-7 Club of America driver schools. By the mid 80's many of the original owners purchased other Mazda models in addition to their Rx-7s and our events became reflective of all Mazda models. Since 1984 we have been a Mazda marque club with membership open to all Mazda vehicle owners. In 1991, we also added the Capital Chapter of the Miata Club of America, later the Miata Owners Club while that organization existed. MSCW is an independent entity incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
